윈도우 P2P와 Mesh 네트웍

차니님이 쓴 Firefox 기반 P2P 서비스를 읽다가 문득 전에 읽은 MS의 P2P 네트웍과 mesh 네트웍을 소개했던 글이 생각났습니다. 해당 글을 조금 인용하면,

For years I have been tracking the "wireless mesh networking" space.
This is where each node in a wireless network is a repeater/relay for any other
node that is within range. With true mesh technologies I can communicate
with other users, even if they are beyond the reach of my wireless signal, if
there are one or more nodes between us that are part of the "mesh"
network. Mesh networks are the next big thing ... even the cellular
carriers are talking about adding emergency mesh capabilities into cell
phones

마지막에 말이 항상 마음에 와 닿네요...
더군다나 오늘 KT에서 3월부터 강남, 분당, 신촌에서 와이브로 시범사업을 하겠다고 발표한 내용까지 연결해보면 아마 이러한 mesh network의 킬러 어플리케이션이 탄생은 우리나라에서 이루어지지 않을까요?
차니의 모질라 플랫폼 기반 어플리케이션에서 한 발 더 나아가, 와이브로 폰을 가진 사용자 혹은 PC사용자가 mesh network 위에서 P2P 서비스를 가능하게 하는 어플리케이션을 개발해야 하지 않을까요? 근데 KT의 와이브로 서비스는 mesh network 기능을 제공할까요?
